busy week

this past week has been another busy one. up early each morning getting some stitching and orders done before heading off to the day job. trying to stay focussed on one thing at a time {sometimes a little hard when your mind is racing!}. these journals were a custom order for a lovely customer and will be winging their way to Japan, Finland and Norway as Xmas gifts for my customer's pen pals. how lovely to think they will be used in other parts of the world.
and of course the double whammy market weekend is creeping closer...so much to do yet!
have a lovely weekend everyone

xmas gifts

these little treasures have been a real hit in the shop cute as a button pocket journals made from playing cards and recycled papers
by yesterday morning they were sold out, but last night I added some more...
along with some of these slightly larger versions made from vintage children's flash cards...perfect for the little farmer in your life...or pilot or football player or fireman or....
great little stocking fillers. head over to Magpie House and have a look before these sell out too...

a moment to create

listed some new things in both shops yesterday...creations from my week at play. The journals are embellished with the paper fabric I made and some cute watch faces and can be found here and the garlands are in my vintage shop Lily Loves Vintage. I need to list the birdies, xmas trees and hearts yet which I made from vintage fabrics and notions.

journal moments

I bought some moleskins when I was in Sydney recently. they have lovely grid paper in them and I have been mostly collaging in them...just bits of paper that come through my house and hands each day...pay slip ends, pretty japanese origami paper, messages, shopping lists, product labels, envelopes, leftover scraps os paper from other projects, wine catalogues, napkins, airline tickets, bar codes. I love bar codes...in fact I'm going to start a new one just for bar codes! and there's some drawing as well. a great way to store all the bits and pieces I can't bear to throw away....here's a few pages from the one I'm currently using.
